Elizabeth Wellsandt

Dr. Wellsandt is a Professor in the Physical Therapy Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. Her PhD is in Biomechanics and Movement Science from the University of Delaware. Prior to that she received her DPT from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her current research is focused on how knee biomechanics and physical activity contribute to early knee osteoarthritis and other outcomes after ACL injury. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Arthritis Foundation, Rheumatology Research Foundation, and Foundation for Physical Therapy Research. She has held multiple leadership positions, including positions on the Scientific Advisory Council of the Rheumatology Research Foundation and the Steering Committee of the Rehabilitation Discussion Group of the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI).
