Philip Conaghan

Professor Philip Conaghan MBBS PhD FRACP FRCP is Director of the NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre and Professor of Musculoskeletal Medicine at the University of Leeds, UK. His research focuses on understanding causes and developing effective therapies for common joint problems. He is a EULAR methodologist and Deputy Chair of the international outcomes group OMERACT. He has previously chaired NICE osteoarthritis clinical guidelines and is a member of the OARSI guidelines group. He has co-authored over 700 publications and received multiple international research awards including the OARSI Clinical Research award.
