Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Biotherapies (IRMB)- INSERM
Yalén Del Río-Jay is a Cuban biologist who holds a Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from Universidad Andrés Bello (Chile). She conducted her doctoral research focusing on the molecular and functional characterization of intestinal macrophage subpopulations during oral tolerance and gut inflammation using zebrafish as an experimental model. Currently based in Montpellier (France), she works as a postdoctoral researcher at INSERM in the “Mechanisms of Regeneration and Therapeutic Applications” group led by Dr. Farida Djouad. Her work with the zebrafish model combines advanced imaging, cellular and molecular approaches, and translational research strategies to investigate regeneration and immune-related processes.
