Ananya Goyal

Stanford University
Ananya Goyal is a Ph.D. candidate in Bioengineering at Stanford University, advised by Dr. Feliks Kogan, specializing in advanced PET–MRI to study early metabolic, structural, and functional changes in whole-joint osteoarthritis. Her research centers on developing quantitative imaging biomarkers of osteoarthritis risk and progression, with particular emphasis on subchondral bone metabolism and its response to joint loading. In parallel, she advances PET–MRI methodology through faster image acquisition and efficient, open-source analysis pipelines. Ananya is an active member of the OARSI Early Career Investigator Committee, contributing to community-building and mentorship initiatives in the field.
