Paula Hernandez

Dr. Hernandez received her Ph.D. in Molecular, Cell Biology, and Neuroscience from the University of Chile. She trained in orthopaedic research at the University of Connecticut Health Center, University of Cambridge, and The Feinstein Institute of Medical Research. She is currently an Instructor and Principal Investigator in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern. Her research focuses on chondrocyte mechanotransduction and the effect of biological sex and sex hormones in cartilage injury, inflammation, and Osteoarthritis.
