Flavia Cicuttini

Flavia is Professor and Head of Rheumatology at the Alfred Hospital and the Musculoskeletal Unit at Monash University and an NHMRC Leadership Fellow. Flavia’s principle research interests are the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal diseases. Her work using novel methods for assessing joint health has underpinned clinical trials that have resulted in new treatments, changing clinical practice and challenged current approaches to treatment. Her current work is focussed on improving outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal disease in rural and remote areas by developing new models of care focussed on the delivery of effective, feasible, evidence--based models of care.
