• To understand the evidence of intra-articular steroid injections as pain relieving treatment
• To understand the place of intra-articular steroid injections in the management of patients with osteoarthritis.

David Hunter (Con) 

• Provide a debate that reflects the opposing perspectives as to whether the use of intra-articular steroids in osteoarthritis is harmful or helpful. 
• This will include a presentation on the efficacy of these injections, potential risks, whether this is dose-related and what the opportunity cost might be.
