• This interactive Breakfast Workshop at OARSI 2024 will focus on practical aspects of imaging in DMOAD trials
• The session will be evidence- and case-based to illustrate how to optimize image acquisition and mistakes to be avoided
• This will be put in the context of image assessment and the different analytic approaches
• Technical challenges and optimization of acquisition and assessment considering a multicenter setting will be discussed
• Role of established techniques like X-ray-based KL and OARSI grading and semiquantitative and quantitative approaches will be explained as well as the possible future role of compositional MRI and artificial intelligence in a clinical trial context
